Well, because crazy doesn't stop at the door of a place of worship. I'll bet some wish they would have had one here so they didn't have to resort to microphone stands and wrestling for a gun.
"He had a great grip on the gun," Foster said. "My plan was, as soon as he hit the floor, it would cause him to drop it. But he didn't drop it."
Man, I just don't think I'd want to have to hope for that.
It's church, why would you think you would need to?
ReplyDeleteUm... there's no force field to keep the crazies out?
Agree. I too carry to and in church. It's a little nickle plated Colt .25. There are just too many cases like the one linked where nuts walk in and have at it. Better safe than sorry.
ReplyDeleteI carry everywhere because I don't know where bad things might happen. If I did know where bad things would happen I simply wouldn't go there.
ReplyDeleteThe correct answer is "I carry 100% of the time I am legally able to do so."
ReplyDeleteTJ - I sure have been seeing a lot of power failures in the gun free zone force field. It's making me suspect they don't work.
ReplyDeleteStephen - the pastor at the church we go to is a CHL instructor and a lot of members go to his class, so I'm thinking things would go differently here. Better safe than sorry, indeed.
Weer'd - exactly. If you know something bad will happen, don't go or take a rifle. :)
That Guy - exactly, or Nunya.
Like That Guy said, I carry 100% of the time.
ReplyDeleteTo keep the priests away from the alter boys?
ReplyDeleteAgree with That Guy too... and there is no force field at the door of a church...
ReplyDeleteDuke - Yeah, That Guy has his head on straight. I think you'd like his blog.
ReplyDeleteLeviathan - Heh
NFO - Yep
"Why carry a gun in a church?"
ReplyDeleteBecause carrying a cop is just too inconvenient?
I really wasn't joking. My buddy that was molested when we were both alter boys, I'm sure he wishes he was carrying a gun at that moment.....
ReplyDeleteAnon - Good point
ReplyDeleteLeviathan - and I would not fault someone for putting two and one into someone for that.
