Yep, sad but true... And anymore the LEOs are ONLY required to fire once a year for quals... and some only shoot then (after they clean the crap outta the gun that has been sitting in a holster for a year since the last qual.
ReplyDeleteYes, sadly that is the case. Luckily, our local officers, both city and county are pretty well trained. They used to do a serious amount of training until they got hit with the same cuts everyone else did. Still, I'll wager they train more than most departments on the regular patrolman level. Also, quite a few are gun guys themselves which really makes a difference.
