More stupid Blogger

I'm not usually one to complain about things like Blogger.  I usually roll with the punches and adapt to changes in technology pretty well.  However, the last move I consider pretty bone-headed on their part.  I noticed in the last post I did that randomly linked words began showing up which were for advertisements.  Now, all of those links in your post that you want there have to be filtered through by the reader.  I've already sent feedback to blogger and looked everywhere for a way to turn this kind of thing off, which I doubt exists.  I've seen many fleeing to Wordpress lately.  I guess if this keeps up much longer, I may be in that crowd.

  1. I understand and feel the same way. I hate starting over when I've just gotten comfortable with Blogger. I hang here as long as possible, after all, it's free.

    1. I know it's free, but they're pushing the bounds of what is reasonable when you have to filter through all that garbage. Ironically, the word "free" is ad-linked on your comment. Ridiculous.

  2. Let's see if tt goes through this time, GRRRR. I too, have given thought to moving to Wordpress. But like Stephen, I really hate to change and start over. I visit Blogger sites that still have comment problems even aftr this latest "improvement" (this is my second attept here). I have seldom received any help from Blogger or its forum. It pains me to write this but, I think I'll stay a while yet.

    1. Dean, I think we're all on the same page. I'm not a huge fan of starting over at all. I started this as a way to communicate with like-minded folks as well as something of a web diary for the kids. Obviously, losing a whole bunch of posts isn't the best way to do either of those things. We'll see how they act on this, but from what I've see around all Google controlled pages, it's the same mess.
