Mickey's failed conceal carry

Huh.  There is more to this story.  I would love to hear it.

Plus, IF that picture actually portrays what they found inside, that isn't your standard criminal handgun.  Now I'm all curious.

  1. Now you and I both know the statement, "I didn't know," is complete BS. I too am curious.

    1. You nailed it, Stephen. That is exactly why I know there is more to the story.

  2. Being a Geardo, I have to ID the slide. That looks like an IMI Jericho or Magnum Research Baby Eagle slide.

THEY LET HIM GO?!? Sorry, there is NO way that you would not pick up a stuffed animal and not thought something was wrong when it weighs 2 extra pounds. 'Didn't Know'? BS. Utter BS

    1. I think you are right on the slide. I know it's hard to believe, but we both know people can be dense.

  3. +1 its a Jericho/Baby Desert Eagle.

They're not the most common thing in the world, but they're also an inexpensive handgun.

Thugs like the Desert Eagle...but probably a lot of them don't like the $1200 price tag, so maybe somebody thought that because it says "Desert Eagle" on it, that might be close enough for "street Cred".

Still its a non-restricted part, so while a bit odd, unless he has the receiver and ammo on him, there isn't a huge deal.

I mean can't you check a gun slide in your luggage?

    1. Good point on the thug choice for the Baby Eagle. Street cred on a budget. I'll have to remember that. TSA says no-no on parts as well. This is why I wonder what or who happened to juust let someone walk off.

  4. I don't buy that he didn't know it was in there, but what I don't get is that they find an actual "weapons" part and it's not big deal, but a girl on an insulin pump sends them into orbit?????

    1. That's what I was wondering, Agirl. Why super-crazy for nothing, but no big deal for what they consider something?

  5. Probably because the girl has better boobs and "needed" to get frisked. TSA has their priorities, after all.

    1. Sadly, you're right, Rabid. There have been many reports of the screeners targeting young women for both the backscatter and random assaults. Another reason they aren't actually helping us stay safe.

    2. Don't forget all the TSA child porn busts. I've personally read about at LEAST a half-dozen arrests, and those are just the ones that made the news, or who got caught.

I suspect there is a large portion of the pedo population who are really excited by the qualified immunity offered by the TSA when it comes to groping little kids

    3. It's one of my biggest hot buttons you just touched, Weer'd. No one touches my kids there. I will probably have to fly with them in the near future and a stern warning will be issued beforehand. There is also the case where an agent used his badge to rape a woman. I wonder if we compared TSA and MAIG who would have the largest percentage of offenders?

  6. Yep. FBI, CIA, and various other countries' screening process have stopped several attempted terrorist attacks/infiltration via airplane. TSA...has stopped nailclippers, the elderly's life-support equipment/medication, and a stuffed Mickey Mouse (but let the guy carrying it through. C'mon...NOBODY had any questions for this guy? Seriously?). Bangup job, there, guys.
