I was thinking about the M-1 afterwards, especially the guys behind those Garands shooting hundreds of rounds during battle. The action takes some of the heat, but it makes up for it in volume.
Oh, good luck with that, Suerte. We're talking about getting a lead sled so we can sight in a bunch of rifles without this result. I'm sure most hunters have one or two rifles and that's it. When you're sighting in a half dozen or so you need better tools, lol.
LOL, try 100 rounds with an M-1, or 140 rounds of .308 in an F-600 match... BTDT, and took a WEEK to recover!

Delete7 more days till we make it worse with thousands of more rounds!
ReplyDeleteIt hit me that I may have made a mistake putting this kind of hurt on me a week before a major shoot. I'll suffer through it. :)
DeleteOuch, I'm taking my Marlin .444 and .450 out Friday just to burn powder, not as much now though.

ReplyDeleteYou're right, Brigid. So, would you have to match that bruise with an amethyst necklace? :)
