Normally, I'm not all political here but...

...this is absolutely ridiculous.  The President has basically flouted the Supreme Court of the United States at least twice (three times if you count twice in the last two days) that I have seen in a very public fashion.  The first was during his State of the Union speech last year, I believe, where he called out SCOTUS right in front of them.  That was borderline on some laws and, at the very least, extremely tacky.

After claiming that overturning the health care law would be "judicial activism" and calling the justices "unelected" (which is kind of the check and balance set in place by the Constitution) he's doubling down on the intimidation today.
...the court has traditionally exercised significant restraint and deference to our duly elected legislature, our Congress.
I'm sorry, what?  SCOTUS is not there to rubber-stamp your laws.  They are there to decide the Constitutionality of the laws that are passed.  While I don't necessarily agree on a lot of their decisions, their role in the review of laws is very explicit in the balance of powers.

And now, just what I thought might happen.

The federal courts kind of want to know why the President thinks that they can't strike down a federal law.  I'd kind of like to know the answer to that one myself.  Constitutional scholar.  Uh huh.

  1. I think you're right on the money, mmasse. Sometimes I'm baffled at the things that come out of his mouth and how indefensible they can be. Somehow, he skates in the media every time. I'm thinking he may have stepped into something deeper than he is prepared to handle on this one. I get the feeling he believes that the powers of the Executive Branch are unquestionable and that is the kind of thing that gets real scary really quickly.

  2. Toss my name in the hat too. Win win, even though the lamestream media won't mention that and the majority of sheeple will still be blissfully ignorant.

  3. The choir is all here, lol. Unfortunately, the general public is too concerned with watching celebrities melt down on television.

  4. As for what he's saying, it's all about laying a foundation for further division in this country if the decision comes back against Obamacare.

He can then rile up all his homies wearing hoodies into riots and blindly voting for him because he's black.

    Or more properly, "White-Black"

Regardless, he's not just out there arbitrarily spouting off. There is always a reason for everything he says and does.

    Always remember that.

    1. That's something I've been considering. I know he isn't a fool and there is probably a plan being laid out, but mouthing off also tends to be a specialty of his, as well. I'm interested to see his next move after making federal judges angry. Even if you win some political stunt, that's not a group to make dislike you. Poor move.

    2. mmasse, I see your second sentence as being entirely possible. But if you look at this in the larger picture, with everything said and done for a reason, and look at this in light of whats going on currently in Florida, he knows that all his buds aren't going to double check his statements, won't read the online news, or watch Fox, or listen to Beck, Limbaugh, or Hannity. They listen to him, those black congress-critters, MSNBC, Sharpton and Jackson, and the Black Panthers.

These folks have already been poisoned over the last year with OWS, Van Jones, the deliberate outright lies and phony facts regarding Skittles Martin and George Zimmerman etc...

Point being, they will never get the truth.

They are being set up to explode in riots this summer, about the time the Supreme Court releases it's decision. When/if it comes back against him, you'll hear more of the same garbage on cranked up to a higher level. I promise you that. Heaven forbid this Martin/Zimmerman issue is still going on at the same time....

As far as his crowing achievement, with the rate at which he is signing executive orders and taking power away from Congress, he is well on his way to achieving dictator status, and will soon just be able to make this happen by a fiat directive, who's worried about the Supreme Court...

This is the whole point here, to get rid of or minimize the courts.

He just simply didn't plan on those 3 judges calling his bluff yesterday.

      Thanks, guys.
