Just give them what they want

Then the bad guy will just go away with a smile, right?

Wrong.

This poor guy died for no reason while trying to support his family.

This one is bad as well.

Mom blames the guns.  Funny, I saw two guys in that store that shot her son and randomly fired into a room full of innocent people.  Silly me, but I think those jerks are to blame.  To analyze this video, you will see that the morons are SHARING A GUN.  So, what opportunity do you have here?  Pretty simple, when the guy passes the gun to his buddy, you pop them both.  If you want to take the earlier option, watch how distracted they are when he first shoots and turns his back.  This is a great example of when to shoot someone in the back.  They usually don't show the beginning of these videos, but there has to be a time when two people walk in with their faces covered and hoodies up.  This is when you go to red and get your weapon clear, not when they are standing in front of you with a gun in your face.  This is an example of why you train for the possibility of being wounded.  It is cases like this that solidify my belief that you don't wait and rely on the mercy of the thug.  You take your first opportunity and turn the tables.

  1. Yeah, in the second video the guys says "you don't really think when something like that happens". I thought, so of us and do. Can't wait for the unexpected, you have to prepare.

Bad guys are bad, so I tend not to trust them. Giving them what they want is not a defense.

    1. That's a good point, Agirl. I think it's what separates those that choose to defend themselves from those that choose to be oblivious. They remain oblivious until it is in their face. I prefer to see it before I'm on my heels.

    1. And when you do, make it overwhelming. Thanks, That Guy.

    2. You're kidding, Agirl. I must have missed that or not seen the post yet. I'm going there now. Ridiculous, and That Guy has the perfect quote. Take the first video if you want to punctuate your point. The clerk had given him exactly what he asked for and the jerk still killed him.

  4. That's it, mmasse. I found the second video interesting on a lot of levels. The obvious lessons that can be learned from a defensive point of view. The insight into the mind of the oblivious victim and the blind eye turned on the real problem so they could target the easy inanimate object.
