I wondered why I would ever need to post from a mobile device. I think this is why. Nice, cold sunny day. It's perfectly quiet. I love being out here where it is calm.
Sorry, all. I was trying to respond but my phone is a big hunk o' poopie and wouldn't let me comment. It drops data signal and has to be rebooted. After the second time of typing a comment and losing it, I gave up and enjoyed the quiet.
Keads/Stephen - I didn't get anything, but it was still a nice time. I saw a few and enjoyed watching them. A Mockingbird landed on the barrel of my rifle and sat for a few seconds. I was frozen watching and couldn't move to get a picture. It was one of those moments you love to happen.
Rev - I don't know what I would do if I couldn't hunt. It's such a huge part of my life.
NFO - Maybe we'll share a hunt camp someday and neither of us will have to be envious.
That Guy - me, too. I haven't been able to get any "crisp" morning hunts in this week. I'm definitely up for the weekend. I also have a couple bottles of Deschutes Abyss for you in the fridge.
That sure looks like the Texas hill country. Are y'all seeing many bucks. Here in E. Tex the bucks are being real elusive, even for rut. Plenty of does moving.
Rich - tons of bucks, very few does where we are at. Unfortunately, the drought really affected the antler growth, so it's a tough year to try and manage the deer.
Flier - I just don't know what I'd do if I couldn't. We are blessed with a piece of land that we can hunt on and a couple of good friends and I really enjoy our time there. We're going to try and get some done this weekend and a cold one is definitely in the cards. I have just the thing in the fridge. Thanks for popping by.
Nice! Have fun out there! (posted from office =( )
ReplyDeleteShoot one for me....posted from the office, too.
ReplyDeleteI miss deer season, a LOT. The peace of the woods is the biggest reason.
ReplyDeleteEnvious... to put it mildly :-) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteJERK!
